I Like Big Books, and I Cannot Lie
I fall asleep dreaming about my library that will be in our new house. For the past many years, I have only had one book case to house all my books. This hasn't been all bad; it means that I've had no room for sub-par books, so my collection consisted of only the best books I had read. I have several categories of books: there are books on church history, specifically the Reformation, even more specifically women of the Reformation, I have a huge humor section for quick, funny essays before bed. I have a good collection of classics, with several Charles Dickens, and all of Jane Austen's works. I've added on to my detective short stories, so that besides all the Sherlock Holmes stories, I also now have Father Brown mysteries by the theologian, G.K. Chesterton, as well as collections of Miss Marple and Poirot short stories, plus the autobiography of the amazing woman who gave them life. I also have some (maybe) surprising books, like collected Bigfoot sightings. Yes, I would consider myself shy, but ask me about a book, and I'll be talking until next week. Not having gone to college, I feel justified in spending the necessary money to fill my life with good and interesting books.
