Looking to the Future

   Like many Americans, I traveled for Thanksgiving.  The trip to see my family took me across the country, from one coast to the other.  Besides blood and marriage, a common bond we share with our family is new houses.  It seems to be all the rage.  Mr. M and I will be moving into our new house this summer, after some big construction projects.  Mr. M's sister and her husband will be moving into their new, custom built home in the spring.  Mr. M's step brother and his wife will be moving into their new home soon. 

  When, during a road trip with family, we stopped at a big outdoor thrift store, the "new house enthusiasm" got the best of me, and I bought this hollowed-out fire extinguisher-turned-gong, and added some personal touches once we were home.
