Little Family had a Yard

E-I-E-I-O.  With a rock, rock, here, and a rock, rock there; here a rock, there a rock, everywhere a rock, rock.  Little Family had a yard, E-I-E-I-O,

I got up at the crack of dawn this morning so that I could get some yard work done before the heat sets in.  I spent about 2 hours collecting and distributing rocks.  It was time well spent.  I think my project is nearing completion.

When I got home, I saw that my dad had called.  I had written him earlier this week, promising to take our new puppy up to see him.  I am now regretting that.  My dad, like many dads, I suspect, thinks he knows everything about everything-especially dogs.  I just know he will laugh at me and think I'm being overly and unnecessarily cautious when I carry the puppy and don't let her stand on the ground,  in an effort to prevent parvo; never mind that the breeder, who has been raising pups professionally for years, emphasized the importance of taking this precaution over and over.  Whatever my feelings towards my dad, I can take comfort in, and be happy with, the progress I made in our yard this morning.
