Reading the book about influencers has made me wonder just how much money people have. I just read that one big influencer sells some of the free merchandise she is given. Actually, the influencer herself doesn't do it; she has an assistant just for that one job-selling stuff. This selling stuff assistant is paid 15% of what the items are sold for. That amount is enough for the assistant to make a decent living. Influencers are paid an astonishing amount of money . . . even more astonishing, though, is that their followers often go out and buy whatever product they are pushing, which are most often the most expensive brands out there.
I've always thought it was pretty ridiculous for TV stars to get paid a million dollars for one sitcom episode, and the sports star salaries are ludicrous. I'm sure there are many other industries that pay a lot more than I think they should. Then, there are other industries that pay far less than is deserved. (Are any teachers reading this?) And for anyone who is reading this, thank the teachers that helped teach you to read. This pay inequality and insanity is something I will never understand.
