Identifying and Investing in Your Passion

With all the authority of my new identity as an influencer (snicker, snicker😏), I will tell you that I read The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, (I don't have a photo of that book because at the time I read it, I didn't have enough room in my "library", which consisted of one lonely bookshelf) and she wrote that part of her project was to really invest in her passions.  Inspired, I identified one passion of mine-writing on my blog-and I invested in it.  I went and bought myself a 4 foot lime green desk to put my computer on, along with my big, fat dictionary, a big thesaurus, and several books on writing, and collections of especially long and unwieldy words.  When we move to our new house, I will have a real and true library, with a small writing desk, but with enough room for several bookshelves, so I will be able to keep many good books to loan to friends.  My husband will set me up with a great little writing place, but until then, I can invest in the laptop that I use for my blog.  It goes without saying, though, that I have kept my writing and word books, and they will continue to be an essential part of my writing space.
